We meet again! Time does certainly fly. So I've had good progress after overcoming my quad injury, being able to carry out full training, race over the hurdles and running a personal best or close to it.
I managed to get a few race s in and around Europe. I also competed in Chania, Greece where I ran 56.75 for the 400m hurdles and then I was in Geneva where I ran a 57.01. Not bad for openers.
The weekend just gone I was in Watford, competing in the South of England championships. I switched to the 400m and I had a good heat which gave me good confidence. Then it was all smiles for me on the Sunday where I had a victory run and pulled out a personal best. Thanks to the good weather!
During my busy schedule I fit in time to teach Channel 4 presenter Rick Edwards how to hurdle. I must say he was pretty impressive for a first timer and he was even confident enough to race me. You can see the outcome when it airs on C4 on the new McCain Track & Field Show, starting on the 26th July, 8:30am.
This weekend Bedford will be holding the u23 European trials which will be held in Kaunas, Lithuania in mid July. I'll be doing my specialist event. So wish me luck!

Well it's been a busy month for me. I haven't stopped. I finished my last exam on May 18th. Since then I've just been training and travelling.
I've competed in a few races aboard. Two weeks ago I was in Greece where I competed in my first hurdles race, which I ran in 56.75. The week following I travelled to Switzerland where I ran my race in 57.01. So far so good bearing in mind I've just come back from a quad injury that happened at the BUCS (British University and College Sport). My next race will be the South of England Championships held in Watford, so I'm working towards that.
I have so much free time on my hand seeing as uni has finished until October. So, other than training hard, I'm going to make the most of trying to meet up with friends and family. I don't really have any other hobbies except I love to shop, shop, shop! And moving back home I've realised how much stuff I actually own (too much)! I'm looking forward to doing work with McCain this summer as they are planning to film me in action. I'll be attending a few of the roadshows and help give people a taste of the sport of athletics. Whoopee! I'm excited and hope the roadshows will attract good turn outs and result in an increase of many more youngsters participating in Athletics.
Well that's enough from me but you won't be getting rid of me that easy as I'll be back with another update soon! x
