Hi guys,
What a busy season I’m having!
It's been the longest one I've ever had. I was part of the European U23 team and I made a debut appearance at the World Championships to do 400m hurdles and 4x400.
The European U23's in Lithuania were really good fun. The food was not exactly my cup of tea but I still managed to bring back the gold!
The World Championships were another important stepping stone in my athletics career. I am only 20 years old so I was really happy to be competing for my country against the world's best athletes.
Essentially, I went out to Berlin for the experience and to learn from the older and more experienced athletes. I feared that I wouldn't make it through to the first round. However I managed to make it to the semi's and finish 7th (with a sprained ankle).
I was excited about taking part in the relay but unfortunately I sprained my ankle before the semi finals so that was out of the question. Bit of a bummer really!
Having the injury meant that my season was over. So now I'm just going to relax and recover slowly and prepare myself for the hard work ahead of me.
Anyway gotta go. By the way I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has supported me during this season.
